Kelly J Morgan has been in private practice for 12 years. She offers psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She specializes in a range of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, parenting, loss, stress, marital and separation conflict, and PTSD.

She utilizes evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy to facilitate change toward emotional and psychological wellbeing. Kelly offers integrative therapeutic approaches that are client-centered and places strong emphasis on the emotional and psychological barriers that individuals are unaware of that continue to undermine their ability to overcome obstacles.

Leslie Bulmer

Mental Health Therapist

Leslie is a mental health therapist who offers a range of evidence-based and alternative therapeutic services at The Morgan Centre. Her areas of specialization include Movement for Trauma/PTSD/Anxiety, Traumatic Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR), and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Leslie is currently completing her Master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy with the CREATE Institute of Toronto as well as her certification as an Imago Clinician with Imago Relationships International. Additionally, Leslie is also a Certified Yoga and Pilates Instructor with over 20 years of experience in the fields of movement and wellness. She has working and direct experience with law enforcement professionals, as well as experience working with/ assisting adults and children with mental and physical disabilities.

Leslie is passionate about client-directed, outcome-informed therapy as she strongly believes that the client is the centre and master of their own experience. She combines her years of movement and wellness education/experience with counselling to assist her clients in gaining the tools they need to function as their most confident and resilient selves.

Sonya Solman graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Laurentian University. She is a registered social worker and has over 25 years of experience working both in community and hospital settings. Sonya works with individuals and families in optimization of function and health using integrative and holistic approaches.

Sonya is passionate about about her family and her community. She is a volunteer board member for the Ontario Branch of  the Kidney Foundation of Canada supporting and working towards the betterment of lives for those living with chronic kidney disease.

Jen Bain

Program Development Officer

Jen is the Program Development Officer at The Morgan Centre.  She began in January of 2023 after 23 years at a chiropractic clinic.  Jen took such pride in helping others with their physical health, in a natural environment, that she wanted to expand her passion and help others with their mental wellbeing as well.  The large welcoming space at The Morgan Centre allows Jen to use her organizational and communicative skills to make everyone feel comfortable and get the care they deserve.

Jen is a mom to two boys and while she spent the last 20 years in a hockey rink, you can now find her enjoying the season going from paddle boarding the lake to skiing the beautiful trails.

Jen looks forward to your call and promises to make that an easy and comfortable experience for you.

 


Olivia Valenti

Hon. BA, RP (Qualifying)

Olivia has completed a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology through Nipissing University. She is currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. Olivia’s passion for mental health, wellbeing, and the navigation of challenging life circumstances drove her early on in the pursuit of her studies. Working from a client-centered stance and an integrated approach of treatment models, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices, Olivia strives to support individuals in accomplishing their goals and empowering them to tell their own stories. In her free time, Olivia enjoys exploring new hobbies, taking her Labradoodle for walks, and spending time with friends and family.


Katty Larocque

Katty Larocque is a Registered Psychotherapist and has completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Katty has a Bachelors in Criminology and Psychology as well as a Diploma in Mental Health and Addictions. Katty has been in the mental health field for six years where she has gained experience working with adults and adolescents.

Katty has direct experience with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and grief. She uses an insight-oriented approach with a biopsychosocial lens. She also has experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to name a few.

Katty plans to leverage her work and life experiences in the therapeutic field and is happy to offer innovative forms of therapy.

On her days off she enjoys educational books or documentaries and practices meditation, yoga, and mindfulness while applying a holistic approach to her mental health and wellness.



Hailey Stockill

Hailey is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO. She has completed a Master’s level degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and a Bachelors of Arts with Honours Degree in Psychology at Nipissing University. Early in her education, Hailey realized that her passion was to support and empower individuals to pursue their goals and desires for change, so they may increase their sense of well-being, confidence and resiliency.

Through an integrated, client-centered approach, using various treatment models, such as: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care and Mindfulness-based practices, Hailey aims to assist individuals in recognizing, understanding, challenging and managing their emotional, psychological and behavioural barriers.

Caroline Dufort has completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Caroline holds bachelor degrees in psychology as well as education, and is a practicing elementary school teacher. She is a Registered Psychotherapy with the CRPO. She has much experience working with children and families, as well as teens and adults who are going through crisis or dealing with addictions through her work at both in and outpatient treatment centres, the hospital and Crisis Intervention. She does so using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy.

She is passionate about helping those in need, whether it be through a special education setting, a short-term crisis setting, or those looking for assistance dealing with on-going mental wellness. She is certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) as well as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families (TCI-F), and The Arson Prevention Program for Children (TAPP-C). She has also assisted in running several groups that aim to assist those with anxiety, anger and self-control, as well as parenting.

In her free time Caroline loves hitting up a local café with a good friend for coffee, practicing yoga, going on long adventurous walks with her dog, seeing live music, and hosting game nights

Philippa has a huge background in wellness, physical rehabilitation practices and mental health strategies. Starting as a youth, Philippa excelled in sport – so much so, she had reached the National level for Karate and was a recognized provincial soccer player. It all came to an end, as they always do, with a career defining injury. Philippa took this opportunity to go to Brock University and study physical rehabilitation and high performance sport through her Bachelor of Kinesiology (hons).  When studying, she recognized the intense impact of the mental strategies of athletes versus the physical practice and how much of an edge that gave to those high performance athlete’s. It was through this observation that connected Philippa with the University of Ottawa to complete a Masters of Arts in Intervention Consultation in Sport, Physical Activity and Health Promotions.

Philippa has worked with Northern Ontario communities as a counsellor, as far north as Bear Lake! She has also worked along side the Canadian Forces for the last 10 years in a variety of roles at CFB Wainwright Alberta, 22 Wing North Bay Ontario and, her current location of 14 Wing Greenwood Nova Scotia.  Philippa is also currently the Mental Skills Consultant for the CISM National Women’s Soccer Team (since 2016).

Philippa prides herself on her practical and intuitive approach to counselling. She has worked with individuals and couples of a wide range of backgrounds, demographics and ages. With her clients comfort in mind, she prides herself on her disarming approach which aims to relax the client to best provide an effective counselling session. 

Philippa spends her free time with her Husband and two doggies, exploring the outdoors. She loves yoga, curling, hiking, road biking, mountain biking, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.


Joëlle Myre (She/ Her)

Joëlle is a qualifying registered psychotherapist (q). She has completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and she has an honor bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Joëlle is bilingual, speaking and writing in both English and French. Mental health has been a passion and an interest of hers since 2015, and she looks to apply creative thinking to every case.

Joëlle works with clients that struggle with anxiety, depression, and deep grief. Trauma is also within her interests, and she believes that everyone deserves to have their story heard. Joëlle utilizes client-centered approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical BehaviorTherapy, Compassion, and Emotional-Focused Therapy, to name a few. On her free time, you can catch her painting or drawing. She also enjoys a good book or is often tending to her large garden and spending time outdoors. Joëlle sees life as a platform for constant learning. She applies this mentality with her clients and her curious mind leads her to think outside of the box and explore therapeutic methods best suited to the client.
